Roxy – Privacy Policy

Last updated: [DATE OF PUBLICATION]

In short: Roxy sends your phone’s traffic to the proxy you enter. We do not see, log or sell your traffic. Your proxy details stay on your phone. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which uses data according to your consent choices.

1. Who we are

Roxy (“the app”) is published by [COMPANY NAME], [ADDRESS], [COUNTRY], tax ID [NIP] (“we”). Contact: [CONTACT EMAIL].

2. What the app does

Roxy uses Android’s VPN feature (VpnService) to route your device’s internet traffic through a proxy server (SOCKS5 or HTTP) that you provide. If the proxy stops working, Roxy blocks traffic instead of sending it over your normal connection, so your real IP address is not exposed.

3. Data that stays on your device

4. Your internet traffic

Traffic passes through the app on your device and goes directly to the proxy server you configured. We operate no servers that receive your traffic, and we do not collect, store, inspect or share it. Your proxy provider is a separate company with its own privacy policy.

5. IP and location checks

To show which IP address and location websites see, the app requests your public IP address from these services:

While connected, these requests go through your proxy, so these services see only the proxy’s IP. While disconnected, the app asks them directly, so they see your real IP – exactly as any website would at that moment. We receive nothing from these checks; the result is shown only on your screen.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The free app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. Google may collect and use data such as your device’s advertising ID, IP address and app interaction data to show and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent through Google’s consent tool before personalised ads are shown, and you can change your choice later. Details: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

Optional “watch an ad” rewards (outfits for Roxy) work the same way.

7. Partner link

The app recommends the proxy provider IPRoyal. The link contains our referral code; if you buy, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Opening the link takes you to IPRoyal’s website, where their privacy policy applies.

8. What we do not do

9. Permissions

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we do not knowingly collect their data.

11. Your rights

Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is usually nothing for us to access or delete; you can remove all app data by uninstalling Roxy or clearing its storage. For data processed by Google for advertising, use your consent settings in the app or your Google/Android ad settings. EU users may also lodge a complaint with their data protection authority (in Poland: UODO).

12. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version; significant changes will be announced in the app.
